Auchmar Estate is a large property with a storied history located on Hamilton Mountain at 88 Fennel Avenue near Mohawk College and St Joseph's Healthcare. The property includes several buildings in a variety of conditions, including a gothic revival mansion extended in the 1960s with a chapel and dormitories, a coach house, and a dove cote, all on 9 acres of parkland. In 1999, in a land transfer, the City of Hamilton became the current owner.

The City of Hamilton is developing a plan for the future of Auchmar Estate and would like to invite the public to help shape this plan. Based on past consultation, with community interest groups and other interest holders, a vision for re-development has emerged that could include a unique mix of for-profit creative enterprises balanced with space for not-for-profit creative activities and community programs. The following questions will help determine potential uses for Auchmar Estate.
