Eastmount Park is a family friendly park

Eastmount softball is a staple in the neighbourhood and provides low cost structured activity for kids. It is a wonderful use of the park.

I've raised my kids in the neighbourhood and at this park. Many summer days spent at the splash pad, playing on the park equipment, playing softball, using the green space for kicking a ball or playing frisbee. We've met new families by spending time at Eastmount Park.

Dog park

A leash free area is important, either temporary or permanent. Most people understand the need and value of having a four legged companion. It is crucial for dogs to exercise and socialize.There’s enough room in the park to accommodate a leash free area even if at designated times. Also, when the ball park season ends no one else uses it other than dog walkers I would like to see some consideration given to this issue given the increased number of dogs and the immense benefits they bring
