Lake Pointe Park is an existing park in the Winona Park neighbourhood, located in Ward 10 at 60 Westhampton Way. The 1.8-hectare park block is surrounded by residential properties with park frontage. The park is framed by Northhampton Boulevard to the north, Easthampton Road to the east, Springstead Avenue to the south, and Westhampton Way to the west. The park has a large circular walking path, connections to pedestrian crossings, and an open field area in the interior.
New amenities are proposed to be constructed within the existing park. As part of the planning process, the City will engage with local residents to shape the vision of this space. The project scope will include:
Playground equipment
Sun shelter
Multi-use court
3m wide asphalt walkways
Drinking fountain
Benches
Garden plantings
Tree plantings
During the consultation period, residents had the opportunity to provide feedback on the concept options and features, as well as the theme and elements of the spray pad and playground.
