Ward 1 Bicycle Boulevard Review

In 2022, Hamilton introduced its first Bicycle Boulevards in Ward 1 along Pearl/Kent and Breadalbane/Jones streets. These "slow streets" or "neighbourhood greenways" are designed to improve safety by calming traffic and enhancing the experience for residents, pedestrians, and cyclists alike. Through signage, pavement markings, and speed controls, these boulevards aim to create a safer, more livable environment.

Through this engagement, we are looking to learn more about:

• Residents and users' relationship to the bike boulevard
• How residents and users interact with the bicycle boulevard
• Impacts of bike boulevard on pedestrian, bicycle, or car traffic since implementation
• Feedback on success of traffic calming measures
• Suggestions for growth and enhancement along the bike aboveboard

Whether you're a resident living along these streets or a cyclist who uses the boulevards, your insights are essential to improving these community spaces.
