Rymal Road Municipal Class Environmental Assessment

The City of Hamilton is completing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA), Schedule C process to develop a design solution to address all modes of transportation along Rymal Road (Upper James Street to Dartnall Road).

The study will focus on: multi-modal safety (pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles) capacity traffic management and consistency with neighbouring road segments on Rymal Road stormwater management complete streets servicing improvements

Public consultation is important in this study. The design for Rymal Road improvements should reflect the long term needs of the community. There was two Public Information Centres (PICs) held during the study to gather feedback on the designs and recommendations.

Notice of Study Completion and Public Review Period

The Class EA Environmental Study Report documenting the planning process undertaken is available for public and agency review for a minimum 30 calendar days from April 7, 2025 to May 6, 2025. View the Environmental Study Report(External link)
