We’re renewing Bishop’s Park
Bishop’s Park is located at 91 East Ave S in Hamilton, Ward 3. The park is approximately 890m2 in size and sits at the corner of East Ave S and Hunter Street E within the Stinson Neighbourhood.
Bishop's Park is a green space featuring several large canopy trees that provide ample shade for the bench seating areas and asphalt pathway that connects East Ave S and Hunter Street E. The existing park features are nearing the end of their lifecycle and require replacement.
Upgrades to the Bishop’s Park will include:
New asphalt pathway
Upgraded bench seating
Installation of a drinking fountain
Entrance feature planting
Replacement of ornamental metal fence
Light fixture relocation
Along with the proposed upgrades, the introduction of additional features will be installed based on previous community consultation, existing site analysis, and the following survey.
What we are looking to learn
We invite community to share ideas regarding the renewal of Bishop’s Park, including:
Use of open spaces (e.g. gathering spaces, community garden)
Drinking fountain design
Preferred bench style
How to get involved
We want to hear from you! Share your preferences through the online survey. If you have any questions, please reach out to us directly. After gathering community input, we’ll review the feedback and share how it helped shape the final park renewal designs.

Your feedback is important and will help shape the final decisions for Bishop's Park.
Survey deadline: November 30, 2025
