Highbury Meadows Park is a new 1.7 hectare (4.2 acre) neighbourhood park located directly north of Saltfleet High School at 110 Picardy Drive, Stoney Creek (ward 9). The park fronts on Picardy Drive to the east, residential properties to the north and west, and the high school to the south. A walkway block is also located in the northwest corner of the site, which will be connected to the park walkway system.
A new neighbourhood park will be developed at this site. As part of the planning process, the City will engage with local residents to shape the vision of this space. The project scope will include:
3m wide asphalt walkways
Sun shelter
Multi-use court
Drinking fountain
Benches
Naturalization area
Tree plantings
During the consultation period, residents will have the opportunity to choose one of 2 park concept plans, pick the preferred shade structure, as well as have input on the theme and elements of the playground.

An outdoor exercise equipment would be great to be placed near the grass. That way, there would be a children's area and an area to encourage health and fitness. Also, a community garden, if possible. An additional drinking fountain, strategically placed closer to the other entrance, would provide a convenient hydration spot for park visitors. Lights - at least 2-3 lights around the park Washroom by the pavilion or sun shelter. A splash pad would be good, which could turn into an ice rink in the winter. It's something similar to Sherbourne Common in Toronto. It is a small park with a splash pad, a washroom, and a wide-open area.

Please consider including a splash pad. There are hundreds of kids (and more coming with all the new homes being built) that would greatly benefit from this amenity. The closest one is not within walking distance. Please also include more benches. Most parks do not include enough seating for the parents when watching their kids play.

Please consider the following items: -splash pad -waddle pool -a designated dog area, even if it is small (many neighboors have dogs and I would like stop cleaning my front yard every time when they do their business)

We'd really love a splash pad at the proposed park
