Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) celebrates its 150th Anniversary in May 2024!

As part of the 150th anniversary celebrations, HSR wants to hear from you! Share your stories, memories, and high-resolution photos with us. We’d love to share them on the website and include them in our promotional materials.

We’ll be collecting submissions throughout the year, but if you share your HSR story or photo by May 31, 2024, we may include it in the visual history book that is being made to commemorate HSR 150.

Visit our HSR 150 page regularly to keep up-to-date on all the HSR 150 activities.

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane together! Be a part of the conversation by sharing your memories, stories and photos.

Do you remember when...

  • You first started taking the bus?
  • You took the bus to the mall to meet friends for the first time?
  • You landed your first job and HSR got you there?
  • The B-line launched, shortening travel time across the city?
  • The first articulated buses started zooming around the city?
  • When the buses were yellow and grey, or even burgundy, and the Nature Bus was rolling through the streets?

We want to hear all of your stories. Tell us about your favourite memory on the bus, why you love taking HSR and how HSR has made a difference in your life.

With so many photos on our phones and devices, we’re sure you have some HSR gems to share. Have a look through your photo albums too – We did, and wow, it was a trip down memory lane.

Are you one of our many retirees? Tell us your transit stories… share your history and become part of the story.

Do you love HSR and claim to be a superfan? We want to hear from you too – Tell us why you love HSR.

We love trivia! Share your transit trivia question (and answer) and we may feature it on our socials!

When you submit your memories and photos, you consent to the HSR using your information. You can do so anonymously if you wish. Although there is no prize or compensation, photo credits will be provided if a person provides their first and last name.
