The City of Hamilton is completing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA), Schedule C process to develop a design solution to address all modes of transportation along Rymal Road (Upper James Street to Dartnall Road).

The study will focus on:

  • multi-modal safety (pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles)
  • capacity
  • traffic management and consistency with neighbouring road segments on Rymal Road
  • stormwater management
  • complete streets
  • servicing improvements

We want to hear from you!

Public consultation is important in this study. The design for Rymal Road improvements should reflect the long term needs of the community. There will be two Public Information Centres (PICs) held during the study to gather feedback on the designs and recommendations.
