Thorner Park is located at 100 Deerborn Drive in Ward 7. Amenities featured in this park includes a playground, open grass spaces, and walking paths.
The existing playground includes junior and senior play structures, stand-alone features, and swing sets, all of which have provided the community with a place to play and enjoy the outdoors.
In Winter of 2024, the City is offering an online survey to the public as an opportunity to gain insight into the features that the community would like to have included in the replacement playground design.
We encourage the community members of all ages to participate and have their say in what the future Thorner Park playground will look like!
Project Update
During February 2024. and again in June 2024, the City offered a survey to the public to provide feedback regarding the upcoming playground replacement at Thorner Park. The survey provided images of various playground components, which were grouped into their respective categories, allowing respondents to select their top choices for each. We are happy to share the survey responses which will be considered in both the Thorner Park playground design, and for the continuous improvement of our playground replacement projects throughout the City.

Community feedback will help to guide the design of the future play structure by including elements similar to the examples shown in this survey. Final equipment selection and installation may vary from what is shown in the images provided.
Please complete the survey to provide input on which features you would like to see included in the playground design. We encourage all members of the community, regardless of age, to participate and have their say in the future of the Thorner Park play structure.
