Woodlands Park is an existing 2.13-hectare neighbourhood park located at 501 Barton Street East within Ward 3 in Hamilton.

It is one of the City's oldest parks and includes:

  • Playground
  • Soccer field
  • Multi-use court
  • Spray pad (completed in 2024)
  • Field house building
  • Parking lot
  • Seating areas

Helping Shape the Future of the Park
Your input helps shape the vision for future park enhancements at Woodlands Park. As part of the project, we took a look at what the community considers a priority for their park including:

  • Walkway upgrades
  • More shade and seating areas
  • More trees
  • Improvements to the soccer field
  • Additional fitness equipment
  • Creating a buffer between the park and Barton Street
  • Improvements to the parking lot

How you have informed this project
You've helped us prioritize park renewal elements, such as:

  • Pathways and circulation
  • Safety and comfort features
  • Green infrastructure and tree canopy
  • Recreation and fitness equipment
  • Traffic buffering and parking

Your feedback directly informs the next steps in the park’s renewal.
