Since 2007, Hamilton has been working to make our city more age-friendly. Building on this history and experience, we want to hear your perspectives as we develop Hamilton’s Age-Friendly and Dementia-Inclusive Community Plan for 2027 - 2031. As our community grows and changes, it is important for Hamilton to continue to be a place where people of all ages can live safely, stay active and remain connected.

We are looking to hear from all Hamiltonians 50+.

Your experience and ideas will directly shape the Hamilton’s Age-Friendly and Dementia-Inclusive Community Plan for 2027 - 2031.

  • We are looking for feedback from residents 50+ including those who are:

    • Working, retired, or transitioning into retirement
    • Care partners and/or receiving care
    • Living with memory loss, dementia, or other health conditions
    • New to Hamilton or long-time residents
    • Business owners, employees, or volunteers
    • Living alone, with family, or in shared housing
    • Living on a low income or experiencing financial challenges
    • From diverse cultural, racial, or language communities
    • Living with a disability
    • Living in urban, suburban, or rural areas



    Notice of Collection
    The City of Hamilton collects information under authority of Sections 10 and 227 of the Municipal Act, 2001. Any personal information collected for Hamilton’s Age-Friendly and Dementia-Inclusive Community Plan 2027 – 2031 – Community Engagement will be used to identify which areas of the city present the most significant concerns for our residents. Please be advised that the data collected will be shared with the Hamilton Council on Aging and Kaleidoscope Consulting for Age-friendly planning.
