What is the study area boundary?

    The study area is a section of the City of Hamilton referred to as the Beasley Neighbourhood within Ward 2, and is generally bounded by Main Street to the south, the rail line to the north, James Street to the west and Wellington Street to the east.

    Why is this study happening?

    As neighbourhoods grow, reviewing and upgrading infrastructure is a necessary part of the City of Hamilton’s commitment to providing safe access for all members of the community.

    What are the study objectives?

    The City of Hamilton is reviewing the transportation conditions within the Beasley neighbourhood in Ward 2 to identify ways that the City can enhance safety and provide convenient access for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists of all ages and abilities this area.

    When will the study recommendations be implemented?

    The recommendations made as a result of the Report Study will be divided into 2 categories:

    • Short-term recommendations may be implemented within five years of project completion. 
    • Long-term recommendations will generally fall beyond five years of project completion.
