We also want you to tell us what an economically strong Hamilton looks like to you in 2030. Sharing your insights will help build an economic development action plan that truly reflects the voices and lived experiences of Hamilton’s residents.

Notice of Collection
The City of Hamilton collects information under authority of Sections 10 and 227 of the Municipal Act, 2001. Any personal information collected for the Economic Development Action Plan 2026-2030 will be used to inform the City’s five-year Economic Development Action Plan. The information will help identify community priorities, economic strengths and challenges, workforce and youth needs, tourism and cultural assets, perceptions of the City as a place to live and work, and awareness of economic development programs. Findings will guide strategic recommendations for economic growth, workforce development, marketing, and business support initiatives. All personal information collected through this project will be aggregated and analyzed for reporting purposes. The aggregated findings will be shared publicly through the Engage Hamilton platform in a follow-up report and will inform the 2026–2030 Economic Development Action Plan presented to Hamilton City Council. Any published quotations, word clouds, or other illustrative examples will be reviewed to ensure they do not contain personally identifiable information.
