The City of Hamilton is completing a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA), Schedule C process to develop a design solution to address all modes of transportation along Glancaster Road (Garner/Rymal to Dickenson).

The study will focus on:

  • 2 through lanes and a continuous left turning lane.
  • multi-modal safety (pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles including trucks).
  • residential, institutional, and future employment development traffic and access.
  • impacts on natural heritage features.
  • stormwater management.
  • cross-sections based on AEGD TMP Update conceptual cross-section design.
  • Hydro - One corridor.
  • servicing improvements.
  • intersection designs at Garner and at Twenty Road.
  • coordination with ongoing Dickenson Road Schedule C EA process for intersection at Glancaster.
