Since 1997, the CF Lime Ridge Terminal (the Terminal) has been a vital part of our transit network. As part of (re)Envision project designed to boost ridership and enhance your experience, a new terminal at CF Lime Ridge is set to be constructed in 2025.

There are two different designs for the Terminal. Both designs include enclosed shelters and convenience, safety, and comfort features, such as lighting, seating, public Wi-Fi, charging stations for your mobile devices, pedestrian wayfinding and landscaped areas. The options differ in the size of the sheltered area.

Project Background

The Terminal was constructed in 1997 and is reaching the end of its lifecycle. The existing Terminal contains two parallel bus platforms and serves five transit routes that are separated by a 4-lane interior ring road in the middle of the mall parking lot.

The Terminal is a major transit hub within the bus network and some customers must cross 4 traffic lanes to make transfer connections. In addition, buses are required to travel in mixed mall traffic which sometimes causes unpredictable schedule adherence during peak hours and peak seasons.

With the new Terminal design, customers will no longer need to cross the road to transfer between buses as the buses will park on either side of the dedicated bus terminal area. Buses will enter and exit the Terminal via bus-only access roads from Upper Wentworth Street and Limeridge Mall Road.

The new location at the southwest corner will contain 8 transit bays, including a shared bay for Accessible Transportation Services (ATS)’s contractor DARTS. Features of the new Terminal design will include transit shelters, lighting, seating, public Wi-Fi, charging stations for your mobile devices, pedestrian wayfinding and landscaped areas.

Construction of the terminal is anticipated to commence in spring of 2025 and is expected to take six months to complete.
