Consultation has concluded

Under the Municipal Elections Act, the City Clerk is responsible for ensuring that elections are fair and accessible to all voters.

Following the 2022 Municipal Election, the City of Hamilton wants to understand access to voting and the experience of the voters.

To help meet this goal, Elections staff are asking voters and the community about engagement, communications, accessibility and the overall voting experience.

  • Voter experience survey: Your feedback will help us benchmark what processes need enhanced communication and outreach. There are also opportunities for written feedback; community members are encouraged to share their experiences.

We recognize not everyone has access to a digital survey, as such, we have made surveys available in-person at all Hamilton Public Library(External link) branches, to ensure as many prospective voters have the opportunity to complete the survey as possible
