Gatesbury Park is located at 28 Niska Drive in Ward 15. Amenities featured in this park include playgrounds, open grass spaces, a basketball half-court, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, public washrooms, a shade shelter, and walking paths.
The existing playground includes junior and senior play structures, stand-alone features, and swing sets, all of which have provided the community with a place to play and enjoy the outdoors.
In Winter of 2024, the City is offering an online survey to the public as an opportunity to gain insight into the features that the community would like to have included in the replacement playground design.
We encourage the community members of all ages to participate and have their say in what the future Gatesbury Park playground will look like!
Project Update
During March and April 2024, the City offered a survey to the public to provide their feedback regarding the upcoming playground replacement at Gatesbury Park. The survey provided images of various playground components, which were grouped into their respective categories, allowing respondents to select their top choices for each. These responses will be considered in both the Gatesbury Park playground design, and for the continuous improvement of our playground replacement projects throughout the City.
