Located at 500 King Street West in the Strathcona neighbourhood, Victoria Park is a bustling neighbourhood hub offering a number of exciting features for nearby residents and visitors alike. The park is centrally situated between Strathcona Ave. N and Locke St. N, further bordered to the north by Florence St., and to the south by King St. W.

The park is beautifully appointed with a number of mature trees and natural landscaping features, while offering numerous connecting trails to allow ease of access to the park’s features including an outdoor pool, baseball diamond, tennis courts, outdoor fitness equipment, multi-use courts, playground, community gardens, parking spaces, and much more. At approximately 3 hectares in size, Victoria Park acts as an important historical City landmark and offers a sizeable space to enjoy the outdoors.

The existing playground at this park had a life-cycle replacement in 2016, with an additional rope climber added in a new play area in 2018. As part of a Ward 1 Councilor initiative, this survey seeks community feedback for additional play equipment, that will enhance accessible play opportunities within the existing playground footprint.

The City wants to hear from the public on which features should be included in the playground design. We encourage all members of the community, regardless of age, to have their say in what Victoria Park playground will look like.
