Located in Ward 5, Henry and Beatrice Warden Park fronts onto Lake Avenue North at Huckleberry Drive. The park offers a connecting trail to nearby Glenburn Court to the west, and the Lake Avenue Park and Bow Valley Open Space trails to the east, as well as a variety of recreational features to support the needs of the Riverdale West Neighbourhood. Situated in a diverse neighbourhood with nearby single family and multi-family residential, commercial and employment lands, community gardens and baseball diamond, this park offers a welcome place to rest or play. Amenities featured in this park include basketball courts, a splash pad, benches, and a generous open space, appointed by numerous mature trees, all nestled along the stream course. Along the Lake Avenue North frontage, an existing playground structure, including swing set and complementary features provides recreational opportunities for the community’s children/youth.

The City is running a survey between September 1 and September 22 to give the public an opportunity to provide input into the features that the community would like to see included in the playground design. We encourage all members of the community, regardless of age, to participate and have their say in what the future Warden Park playground will look like!
