Being a Professional Passenger

18 Aug 2024

I’m a professional passenger.

What does it mean? For me – a lot!

Each ride is my piece of meditation at any part of the day and under any weather conditions😉.

Every time when I look through the window, or talk to my husband, who is thousands kilometres away now, the bus gives me a chance to forget about what is here and now but join the Universe, think about something important. I’m not driving – so there is no need to be attentive, there is a unique chance to dream, make plans, feel happy.

I feel proud of my elder son, watching him playing chess on the way to his tournament and at the same time so fragile, listening to my younger’s breathing, when he has a nap on my lap in the early morning before his judo training.

The faces of other passengers, smiling, thinking, angry, thoughtful, inspired, full of doubts or ideas - they are like beautiful details of one big puzzle, the proof of life, love, hope.

Could it be possible without the bus? I guess, never. As in our non-riding life we are too busy to look around. Too busy to listen and smile to each other. To busy to thank…

You are angels, our super HSR drivers!

In summer we come to you even if we can walk to our destination to cool ourselves a little bit.

In autumn and spring, you magically manage try to stop between the puddles for us to be a few seconds less wet.

In the snow you open your doors to give us some warmth of your bus and your smile.

When we’re running to the stop you patiently wait till we cross the street with our eyes almost falling out and our mouth open in silent ”Oh, please, please!”

You always have a cheer word for us coming home from work and using our home key instead of PRESTO just because our mind is somewhere else, drinking tea and hugging our kids already.

You are kind and calm believers, whom I tried to prove one day that my son’s Student PRESTO, taken by mistake, is my real card and you gently let me enter the bus and I realized only at home that it was my fault, but not your device’s problem. Thank you for that!

Life is so complex and unpredictable, sometimes cruel, offensive or indifferent. We need our own world to hide there for a moment. To loosen the concentration, to forget about strict rules, to see the rainbow in the drops.

Thanks for this opportunity

And Happy 150th Birthday!!!!!!!!!💕💕💕💕💕🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
